So, I went in for a new battery only to be told that my battery was fine; the movement need to be tweaked (I honestly don’t know exactly what they did) which they did free of charge. They could have charged me for a new battery, or a service fee, and I would have been happy to pay, but they chose to be fair and honest instead. Big thumbs up for me!! I have had John Hood regulate 2 of my watches (both Seiko movements), and on one he also replaced the crystal for me. He has always done a great job. As a bonus, he's a friendly guy who explains things well. Honest, fair, and highly skilled. These guys do good work in a timely manner for a great price. I only take my watches here. Helped our daughter resize an expansive (stretchable) watchband - Timex. Great price, friendly, and fast - did it while we waited. Thank you. Excellent job at fixing a screw that had backed out from my Seiko diver. Took him 5 minutes and only $20. Have been wearing the watch for the past month with no further issues. Great service and very fair pricing. Re-aligned a chapter ring on my Seiko Turtle. Super helpful and great little shop. I took my watch in for repairs, and the gentleman at the counter explained that he would take a look, and if the repair consisted of , it would be $x, but if it required , it would be much more expensive. While I was filling out my information, he looked at the watch and showed me that it was in fact not broken at all. He also did it in a way that didn't make me feel dumb, despite the fact that this was 100% user error. He could have accepted my watch and faked some repairs in order to charge me, or at the very least talked down to me about not knowing how to use my own watch, but he did none of that. Just a great experience all around, and I really appreciate his help. When this watch does break, I know exactly where I'm taking it. Took an old seiko watch in to have a battery replaced. They had the Battery replaced within 10 minutes. Fast, friendly, convient location. Highly recommend. I brought my watch in because the second hand just fell off and was laying on the bottom of the face. Also, I knew it was time for it to be cleaned. I took it to John Hood at Benold's recommendation. When I picked up my watch, the crystal looked new, and the watch is running flawlessly, second hand entact. Another plus was that my watch was ready before the promised date. That almost never happens anymore!
