I had such a great experience working with Rose DeRatto at Dransfield! She was wonderfully collaborative and efficient!

I had gone to 3-4 other local jewelers in Richmond, inquiring about making custom matching pearl rings, from 2 loose pearls I have had for years, as a gift for a friend. I WISH I CAME HERE FIRST - it would have saved me so much time and trouble! Some shops were (understandably) unable to accommodate my timeline, whereas others were less flexible or weren't collaborative.

Working with Rose was as simple as... I told her my approximate budget, described the design idea, and the timeline; and, once she assured I understood the risks of making a dainty pearl ring, she created a simple sketch of the design right in front of me, agreed to take on the project, and emailed estimates for multiple options within my budget!

She was very proactive and timely in her communication, and completed the rings 3 days early! They came out beautifully - exactly what we discussed!

Rose earned my trust and confidence so quickly by listening so well to understand the vision and working *with* me to creatively problem-solve how to make it come to life! We can't say enough good things about Dransfield and specifically Rose! We came to her with a complicated ask - creating a custom wedding band with a carve out that allowed it to fit perfectly against my fiancé's engagement ring. Rose was efficient, kind, and did an amazing job with both of our rings. They couldn't have turned out any better than they did. We will absolutely be using Dransfield and Rose as our go to jeweler moving forward! Dransfield jewelers did an outstanding job on a bracelet I could no longer wear because of a faulty clasp. Rose’s design suggestions and workmanship far exceeded my expectations! It was like getting a new piece of jewelry. I strongly recommend this team of highly talented women. Great staff with a real passion for what they do in a beautifully designed space by the cobblestones in Shockoe. They do jewelry repair and custom pieces but also feature designers. We're lucky to have them in Richmond. Can’t say enough about the team here. After some (disappointing) searching at the “big name” brands and stores, I reached out to them via the website looking for an engagement ring. To my surprise, I had a response in under 30 minutes confirming details of my what I had in mind.
From there, I had a quote and detailed sketch of the ring in a very short span. The custom designs from start to finish do not disappoint at all, I was delighted with the final product! The responsiveness of the staff coupled with the transparent (and VERY competitive pricing) was a treat. Absolutely phenomenal experience all around!
