I have had two bad encounters with this company. The first encounter was with a necklace I bought a year ago. I asked for a picture of what it would look like (handwritten message on a necklace). I never received a picture or word about it until it was time to pick up the necklace. Once I arrived the necklace was not like I ordered. They offered me a discount to keep the necklace, but it was still pricey considering, so I requested it be redone. They did redo it, but then the necklace (which is suppose to be real gold, not gold plated) tarnished within a couple of weeks. I then had to take it back in to have it redone. They did make it right so I decided to give them another chance.

This past week I went to drop off two permanent necklaces I wanted to add a clasp to. A friend of mine had picked hers up less than a month prior. They charged her $32 to add the clasp to one necklace. When I went in to pick up my necklaces I was told it would be $120. I asked for them to verify the price and explained the situation. The lady then gave me the price of silver. So I was charged $44 a necklace. Matt was gone at the time, and asked for him to contact me. Once he contacted me he stated he meant to change the price and lower it. He stated he had bought this at a cheaper price, and would continue to sell them at a cheaper price until he had to purchase more. So with that being said.... I was still charged $12 more per necklace. However, had I not known to ask, I would have been extremely overcharged.

Needless to say after this second occurrence, I have lost all trust in this company and will no longer support them. Jewelry Emporium is the best fine jewelry place in our micropolitan town. Matt and Co. are always friendly, hard-at-work, and do excellent work at that. I am grateful for the many repair jobs Matt has done as well as the beautiful and unique pieces I have purchased. Gratitude! My husband bought my engagement ring here and had a fabulous experience. The staff really took their time to make sure he got exactly what he wanted. We went back and got wedding bands from here as well and we couldn't be more pleased. We will continue to shop here in the years to come! I was out with my friend today who recommended the Jewelry Emporium I needed to have my ring jacket fixed so that I could actually insert my solitaire ring into the center of it because it was two different sizes. It was impossible for me to try to do so I went in and spoke with the representative, Stephanie, who then introduced me to Tricia who spoke to Matt the jeweler and owner and he assured me he could get it fixed so I could be able to walk out wearing it what kind good business people and professionals everyone in the store was so nice friendly conversational welcoming no pressure to buy or to my friend. God bless Matt and all his employees. All I can say is kudos to him his business and I am thankful he’s in Cookeville and I was able to go there through the kindhearted recommendation of my friend. Amazing in every way!!! I am going back very soon as I was so impressed with the honesty and all their merchandise along with GREAT prices and workmanship. Kudos to all. I had to get my rings resized. They did a great job. People working there were very polite and helpful. The ring fits perfectly and the prices were good. I ABSOLUTELY love my ring I got from The Jewelry Emporium! I had such a wonderful experience, the ladies were so helpful and knowledgeable! I have purchased all of my jewelry from Matt for the last 20 years and I will NEVER EVER go anywhere else. I recommend The Jewelry Emporium to everyone I know!!!!
