I would like to begin by mentioning that I have frequently had watch batteries replaced at Fast-Fix over the past few years. In 2020, I had the movement in my Movado Bold watch replaced, accompanied by a five-year warranty valid until September 12, 2025.
Regarding pricing, I spent nearly $500 on the movement replacement for my Movado Bold at that time. Concurrently, I owned a Michele watch adorned with diamonds that also required a movement replacement; however, I declined the service as it was estimated to cost approximately $700.
A year later, still needing the Michele watch's movement replaced, I consulted a specialist in Towson who quoted $350 for replacing the movement of a $2000 watch—considerably less than Fast-Fix's previous estimate of $700.
Moving forward to 2024, when my Movado’s movement needed another replacement and living now in York, Pennsylvania—I opted not to return to Fast-Fix. Instead, I contacted the Towson specialist (now located at Columbia Mall), but ultimately visited another repair shop at The Galleria Mall where they quoted $125 for replacing my Movado Bold’s movement and $200 for another Michele watch valued at $1000.
In reflection upon these experiences: paying nearly $500 for an initial replacement in a watch worth $700 only to face issues within five years demonstrates significant overcharging occurred initially.
Be aware of this location with price gouging Excellent place to get jewelry repaired or altered. I had costume jewelry I needed repaired. The woman was incredibly helpful. I'm very pleased with the service.
